Our day begins at the archaeological site of Coba, hidden in the Mayan jungle, in the center of the Yucatan Peninsula.
On our private Coba tours from Playa del Carmen, we like to get there early. There have been many times when we have been the first to the top of the main structure, "Nohoch-Mul" and able to take photographs with no one else around! Although, you will have to climb the 120 steps to get the shot!
Included in the Coba Ruins tour is an archaeological guide who will go into detail about the history of the site, Mayan culture, and will be happy to answer all of your questions. You will also be introduced to a Mayan shaman and have the option of taking part in a purification and blessing ceremony if you wish.
After the Coba Ruins tour, we will travel on to Punta Laguna, a well-known area of natural beauty. It is also a natural habitat of both Spider and Howler monkeys. As the monkeys live freely we can’t promise any sightings, but we will keep an eye out for them so we can observe these beautiful animals in their natural habitat.
